1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GarageDeals, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any policies referenced here.

If you do not agree, do not use GarageDeals.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you are a minor, you should use GarageDeals only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use GarageDeals if you are not legally allowed to use the service or if your account has been suspended or removed.

3. Listings and Availability

Listings, item descriptions, photos, prices, availability, locations, and seller information are created by users. GarageDeals does not verify every listing and does not guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, legal, safe, available, or as described.

Users are responsible for the content they post and for keeping listings accurate and up to date. We may remove listings, restrict features, or suspend accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users.

4. Marketplace Role

GarageDeals helps users discover listings and communicate. GarageDeals does not own, sell, inspect, store, ship, deliver, endorse, verify, or guarantee any user listing, item, seller, buyer, address, meetup, or transaction.

GarageDeals does not perform background checks, identity verification, ownership verification, item authentication, safety inspections, or legal compliance checks for listings or users unless we explicitly state otherwise.

5. Buyer and Seller Transactions

GarageDeals is a local discovery and communication platform. We are not a party to any transaction, agreement, payment, pickup, delivery, meetup, dispute, refund, return, warranty, or promise made between buyers and sellers.

Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for deciding whether to communicate, meet, buy, sell, pay, accept payment, exchange goods, or complete any transaction. GarageDeals is not responsible for scams, fraud, counterfeit goods, unsafe meetups, payment issues, item condition, item legality, non-payment, non-delivery, or any other issue between users.

Use caution when meeting or transacting with others. Meet in safe public places when possible, inspect items before paying, avoid suspicious payment methods, and do not share sensitive personal or financial information.

6. Meetup Safety

Users are solely responsible for choosing whether, when, where, and how to meet. Consider meeting in public, bringing another person, checking items before payment, and stopping communication if something feels unsafe or suspicious.

GarageDeals is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, theft, fraud, harassment, unsafe meetups, failed exchanges, or disputes that happen before, during, or after a user-to-user interaction.

7. Location, Addresses, and Directions

GarageDeals uses listing addresses, approximate locations, device location, and map data to help users discover nearby garage sales and items, calculate distance, and open directions in third-party map apps.

If you create a listing, the address or location information you provide may be shown to other users or used to help them navigate to the listing. Do not post an exact home address or location unless you are comfortable sharing it with other users.

Map, distance, and direction information may be approximate and may be provided by third-party services. Users are responsible for confirming the correct location and choosing whether to travel to or meet at any location.

8. Prohibited Listings and Activities

You may not list or promote illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe, hazardous, regulated, restricted, or infringing goods or services. This includes firearms, weapons, explosives, drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, adult or sexual content, and anything prohibited by law or our policies.

You may not use GarageDeals to scam, mislead, harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, scrape data, bypass security, manipulate promotions, collect sensitive information, or interfere with the service.

9. Payments and Promotions

GarageDeals may offer paid promotional features, boosts, or discounts for listings or items. Promotional placement, timing, visibility, and availability may vary and are not guaranteed to result in views, messages, sales, or transactions.

Payments for GarageDeals promotional features may be processed by third-party providers such as Apple, Google, Stripe, or other payment processors. We do not store full payment card details.

Payments or exchanges between buyers and sellers for listed items are handled by those users directly unless GarageDeals explicitly provides a specific payment feature. GarageDeals is not responsible for user-to-user payment disputes, refunds, chargebacks, scams, or failed exchanges.

10. AI-Assisted Listings

GarageDeals may offer AI-assisted tools that help draft item titles, descriptions, categories, prices, or other listing details from uploaded photos or user input.

AI suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Sellers are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI-generated content before publishing a listing.

11. User Conduct

Be respectful, honest, and lawful. Do not post fake, misleading, stolen, illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, prohibited, or infringing items. Do not spam, harass, threaten, impersonate others, scrape data, bypass security, or use GarageDeals for fraud or scams.

You are responsible for complying with applicable laws, taxes, rules, and platform policies related to anything you list, buy, sell, or communicate about through GarageDeals.

12. Content, Reports, and Account Actions

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you give GarageDeals permission to host, display, resize, process, translate, analyze, distribute, and use that content to operate, improve, market, and protect the service.

Users may report suspicious, illegal, abusive, misleading, or unsafe activity through available app features or by contacting support. We may review reports, messages, listings, account activity, and technical data to investigate safety, fraud, abuse, legal, or policy concerns.

We may remove content, limit visibility, block messages, disable promotions, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve records, or take other action if we believe there is a violation, safety concern, legal risk, technical issue, or misuse of the platform.

13. Third-Party Services

GarageDeals may rely on third-party services for maps, directions, hosting, storage, content delivery, notifications, email, analytics, payments, sign-in, app stores, and AI processing.

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability limits, fees, and errors. GarageDeals is not responsible for third-party service actions, outages, decisions, charges, or content.

14. Intellectual Property and Takedown Requests

Do not post content that infringes another person or business rights, including copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or ownership rights.

If you believe content on GarageDeals violates your rights, contact us with enough information to identify the content, explain the issue, and reach you for follow-up.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

GarageDeals is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, accurate listings, successful sales, safe meetups, or any specific result from using the app.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, GarageDeals is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or user-to-user damages, including losses related to transactions, scams, listings, meetups, payments, locations, or third-party services.

16. Indemnification

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold GarageDeals harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your listings, content, communications, transactions, meetups, account activity, legal violations, or misuse of the service.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of GarageDeals after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
